Real Life

What does one believe when what they thought was real turned out to be a lie-?
How can one tell a falsehood from a truth-?
Or is to believe, to become blind to that which is the truth-
Is faith a way of covering the truth from those who will follow only what they see to believe-
Or is hope the wish to seek our blind faith by believing that which lifts our logic,
Gives us meaning, purpose, life-
Or rather is reality the illusion of what we choose to make it-
Perhaps then it’s that life, is our biggest lie,
If what’s real is a lie,
Then is the lie what’s real?
(Whether yes or no, what after all is “Real”?)
Deceiving

You put on a happy face,
Because it’s all you’ve got-
The real expression,
A whirling mix, confined under our skin-
I am tormented-
A solider never resting-
A well worn grin covers the internal sin-
The blood,
Blue within my veins,
Leaks red and angry-
Not letting on to the dieing flame within-
I wear my shell,
An eternal outfit of the day-
But under it all,
A burning hole speaks of all that sin,
Seeping deep within my hell-
Black Tears Fall

broken tears, like broken promises
fall swiftly to the floor
I know that i can't use this
to escape myself anymore
black tears fall
running from the stars
leaving black-spattere
d stains
marking me with scars
I'm breaking on the inside
pulled apart so fast
knowing in my head
my heart won't last
black tears fall
the tears of my soul
drowning me in darkness
knowing I can't be whole
marks full of secrets
scars full of lies
lines for every time
emotions had to die
broken tears, like broken promises
fall swiftly to the floor
I know that I can't use this
to escape myself anymore
The Silence

a black rose blooming everymore
dripping red regrets and memories
the wind whispers beneath the moon
silencing me in the night
a quick movement
a rush of calm
sweeping over me
I am the rose
dripping red in the darkness
screaming into the silence
lines etched into my petals
sing my song of sorrow
scars that show
with terrible beauty
all that I have become
I'm a black rose
my thorns
keep the world away
ripping, tearing,
and destroying everything
the world crumbles around me
turns to ashes in the cold
leaving me blooming in the dark
beneath the moon
in the silence
all alone
The Prison

I feel lost inside myself
a prison in my mind
I push against the walls
trying to get out
It's pointless to resist
you can't escape yourself
I'm my own worst enemy
keeping me from myself
I want to cry a thousand tears
and wash away this feeling
that creeps into my dreams
and takes over me
my own voice answers me
as it rings back from the walls
whispering in the darkness
"it's all because of me"
it's cold inside this cell
I feel chilled to my soul
as darkness trickles slowly in
damp from all the tears that never fell
chains made up of insecurities
hold me back from freedom
wrapping around my heart inside of me
still pushing against the walls
screaming into the darkness
trapped inside the prison in my mind
My World

I created a world
A world of my own
In this place I can escape
Escape to bliss and nothing ness
You can see what's in it
Just look through my room
Look close, you might miss it
Then again you might see it
See my world
Take a Look
I dare you
But do you have the courage ?
Courage to step into my world
But beware
You may never return to the world you know now
Your world so full of pain and sorrow
Don't dare bring them into my world
Or you will currupt it
This world is my own
One of bliss and nothingness
It's an escape from this world of you know now
Not a clone of it.
Come to my world...
You'll feel better when you go to escape in it...
The Pain

I'll give you pain
All the pain of my heart
The very same heart you destroyed
With your lies, deciet, and betrayal
I shall repay you
Repay you
with the same pain you caused my heart
Scarred with those words
you so graciously provided me with...

The day I left
you cryed
I cursed
you said, "I love you"
I said, "no you don't, I hate you"
you said, "please dont do this I love you"
I said, "yeah sure you do"
you said, "why, you know I love you"
I said, "bye, I got to go"
The door slammed and you just dropped to the floor
and cried while I was on my way to my dad's house,
where I would stay forever.
I finally started going to see you almost a month later.
And when we would get into an arguement you would always
bring up the fact that I broke your heart when I left.
Now it's been two years and I'm so happy because we have
such a wonderful relationship, and I love you very much.
I love you forever
I love you for always
As long as we're living
Together we'll be
Even after we're
not living together
we'll be.
you said, "I love you"
I said, " I love you more"
you said, "no I love you more"
I said, " no stop it"
you said, " what's the problem"
I said "because I love you more forever"

Do you ever dream
Of what life might be
If clouds were cream
And people liked me?
Do you ever wonder
What life might be like
Living in a building of great height
Or standing behind the mic?
Do you ever wish
For a life like no other's?
Not a life being studied in a petree dish
But a life with happy fathers and mothers?
Do you ever pray
That life might take a different stride
Living far away
No longer having to hide?
I dream, wonder, wish, and pray
I hope, believe, long and yearn.
I feel it everyday
And I hope someday to learn...
Heartbreak

Your heart becomes an ebony stone
Crystal tears fall secretly in the darkness
The knife of sadness stuck in the rocks of your heart
Inside the pain tears deeper
You strive to keep it concealed from the world
But the agony is too immense
And can be seen through your eyes
Like cerulean doors left open on a frigid winter’s night
His face is unmistakable in your mind
His laugh and voice is still heard in your ear
Your heart longs to be near him
But the feeling will never be shared
