Just a very basic setup at present to organise and index all my digital tutorial wiki-pages to come, along with sharing information in regards to digital programs and resources helpful to the digital artist. Most of my experience with digitally created art is with Adobe's Photoshop, but some of the basic "how-tos" can be applied with other programs. For some "general basics", you might want to read Working-Digitally_General-Tips. As an artist, even as a person, I am VERY particular with how I do things. Two of my favourite mottos are: "Anything worth doing, is worth doing to the best of one's ability" and "One can expect the best possible results ONLY if they are willing to put in the best possible efforts." Therefore, with this in mind, many procedures/tec be easy and simple, but there will be some that are more complicated and/or will require more time, patience, and effort on the part of those who wish to follow along and give them a go. This endeavor is not meant to be "all informative", but for the reason to provide a platform so I can share with others what knowledge I know. Most of what I know, I have learned on my own by just being willing to continually try this or that with a program. Since I'm a person who likes to continually add to my knowledge base, as I learn more, I'll be more than happy to share what I learn additionally. Being a digital artist entails anything done using a computer graphics' or digital program/softwa working from scratch or working with an image already in existence, such as with a photo, often referred to as "photo manipulation" or as a term I prefer, "digital editing". Speaking of working with photos digitally, there are places on the Internet that offer photos that are classified as "public domain", which means they can be used "freely" without ANY stipulations whatsoever. On the wiki-page Digital-Resources, I will list links to "free to use" (public domain) images, plug-ins and accessories I find that can be used with either various or specific programs, as I will also add any other helpful/useful links/info. As much as I love using Photoshop, I personally think Adobe is a bit too greedy and charges way too much for its pro- ducts. Most artists can't afford their products because most artists struggle to earn a decent living doing what they do best and this is being creative. Other tutorial/how-t Please see: Digital-Art-Programs for listing some free and buy-able digital programs and where to download them, which is usually best directly from the product's "home site". (Hope to also provide a short overview for each one.) |
