The Seven Deadly Sins
This wiki is created to display my art of the Seven Deadly Sins and their demons and the seven virtues and their angels. Although this is a predominantly religious topic, I'm not looking at them as a religious means, but as a historical choice in their representation
.
Enjoy
The Seven Deadly Sins are defined as a classification of vices. They have been assigned to specific representitive demons. Their forms and representations are as follows...
Satan
The embodiment of anger. He exists as Lucifer's physical impatience and anger with God. He is often shown as a cat with jaws wide open, a terrible dragon with ten horns, or, most commonly, a demon with large horns of a ram and three mouths. He is said to be covered with blaphsemous figures.
Leviathan
The embodiment of envy. He is the winding serpent and the demon of the seas. He is the existance of the sins against other men. He is said to have jaws large enough to devour a city as large as Atlantis.
Beelzebub
The embodiment of gluttony. Also known as the Son of Baal, he is the ultimate form of sins of the flesh. He is said to be in the form of maggots and flies, and is said to digest those souls who commit his crimes.
Belphengor
The embodiment of sloth. He is the laziest of demons. His image is often displayed as a large man utilizing a toilet or a means of slavery.
Mammon
The embodiment of avarice. His greed is legendary, destroying those souls around him for his own personal gain. He is said to be the image of a man with a bird's head.
Asmodeus
The physical embodiment of lust. He is said to be the father of all demonites, their mother Lilith. He was originally a Saudi Djinn, transformed into a demon by is never-ending obsessive love of physical being. He is said to be a man with the head of an ogre, a ram, and a bull riding on a blue dragon, but is also recognized as a two headed dragon.
Lucifer
Lucifer is the embodiment of pride. His pride and decision to oppose God are what sent him to hell. His supposed love of himself was his downfall. He is the ruler of Hell and all demons, but must abide by God's laws. He is often shown as an angel with hooves, a mane, and black feathers.
Lucifer is also known as the embodiment of humility, for his admissions of mistakes and faults, and his willingness to maintain a love for God as well as respect for him.
