Why ARE you bored?

Hello there! If you're reading this, I'm going to assume you clicked on the link because you were bored. ^{If that's not the case, pretend it is.} I spend a decent amount of time on Elfpack going through random member houses, and I quite often see people complaining about being bored or having nothing to do. If you feel that way, then you obviously don't know of everything there is to do in Elfpack, because if you did, you wouldn't be bored. ^{Unless none of it interests you. Loser. >.>}

First off, let's cover what Elfpack is in a generalized sense.

Elfpack is a social networking site, like Facebook or Myspace. However, unlike those sites, Elfpack is a site targeted directly to a smaller audience, with a staff that pays more attention to individual members.

Elfpack is a site completely ran and controlled by volunteers, everyday people just like you. There's no corporate thinking, or money-hungry vultures.

Elfpack is completely, 100% free to use. You can donate to Elfpack, but donating only allows you to use color in your profile like [Stephen] does.

Elfpack is a very laid back community. We don't ban people for no reason, and we never delete accounts. We give multiple chances to rulebreakers, and we understand mistakes.

Now, on to the topic at hand: Why are you bored on Elfpack?

Honestly, I have no frickin' clue as to why you would be bored. There is a lot to do on this site. You can message other members and make friends, using the private message system. You can become involved in the forums, to chat with people and meet people. You can create pages within the Elfpack wiki to show things off, to meet new people, to chat, or to just generally mess around. You can also enter into the multitude of official competitions that are always ongoing on Elfpack and possibly win badges or trophies in your profile to show off. You can also try to collect every possible donation and contest badge or trophy. You can adopt a virtual pet. You can also try to become one of the people who maintain the website, to make it more appealing to other members. Generally, as long as you're not griefing other members, you are free to do anything you'd like on Elfpack.

Here is a collected list of just some of the various things you can do:

You can PM people, such as [HeAVenShallBuRN], [Sicarius] and [Yudan333].

- You can create wiki-pages.

- You can create contests for people to enter.

- You can join in on official or unofficial contests.

- You can create, or join, roleplays hosted by members.

- You can collect badges.

- You can report rulebreakers.

- You can make online photo-albums.

- You can try out the Elfpack Daily Poem.

- You can also contribute to Elfpack Jokes.

- You can try to be one of the Volunteers.

- You can apply to the crew.

- You can adopt a pet at the Giffie-Pet Store.

- You can donate to Elfpack Graphics.

- You can make Elfpack suggestions on how to improve the site.

- You can see how many messages you can send [Stephen] in thirty minutes, must be 10-12 words. ^{[HeAVenShallBuRN] suggested that one.}

... and there's still much, much more to do around here.

However, do remember one thing. Elfpack is not meant to replace real life. We don't have things for you to do for 16 hours a day, or for 10 hours a day. Elfpack is something fun for you to do from time to time, and a way to keep in touch with friends and make new ones. We don't want to consume your soul. ^{That's a lie, we do want to. We're just too lazy. [HeAVenShallBuRN] wants to steal your soul!}
