This case shows how politics get in the way of really justice. The Distoric Attorney, Mike Nifong, is up for reelection soon. What better way to get reelected than a big case that supports the poor minorities? Theres two colleges in the area where Duke University is, Duke itself and another smaller community college where many minorities go; including the accuser. So Nifong saw this as an political oppurtonity. He portrays the defendants as rich, white, and spoiled; and the accuser as the desperate single mother who had to do without all her life.
But her story is so full of holes I can't understand how the defendants are exactally that, defendants. The other dancer says shes a crock and was only out of her sight for 5 minutes. But the accuser said she was raped and beaten in the bathroom for a half-hour. So even if she was raped there would be DNA evidence right? Well when they tested her and her clothes it came up negative for every player for the Duke lacrosse team (except for one because he did not fit the discription).
