I stumbled upon myself

I stumbled upon myself by [Peachirach]

I stumbled upon myself last Autumn
Somewhere between the ground and all the trees
I lay in the shadows in shades of grey
Staring up to the sky at falling leaves

I felt the leaves like a kiss on my cheek
I thought of those days when that kiss was real
Somewhere far away in a memory passed
How I miss the love my heart used to feel

I closed my eyes and listened to the leaves
They rustled and crackled with the fresh air
The breeze died down and then the silence fell
It was so quiet like nothing was there

I stumbled upon myself last autumn
Somewhere between the ground and all the trees
I was at one with myself last Autumn
There in the shadows where nobody sees.

Other Half

Other Half by [Hunter Born of the Blood]

I know the trails of the forest
I am a pirate of the flesh
there is fire in my eyes
and blood on my hands.
You know.
What does it feel like
to have tamed the wildest thing?
Is the feeling sweet
as your hand strokes my newly-docile snout?
My teeth are never bared against you
but occasionally a bloodlust does take over
and the Moon puts a finger to her mocking lips.
Keep your silence, these claws will never scar your flesh.
There is a gentle noise coming from my throat
when I see those others too close
Even though I can suppress the urges
the best cannot be killed entirely.
And sometimes you will wake up to an empty bed.
I will be running the trails of the forest
With fire in my eyes and blood on my hands.
