City Lights

City Lights by [christie baby!]

Let's run away to the big city lights,
Live our lives with drunken street fights,
We can infatuate our rotten romance
No looking back, losing to the trance.
Speeding along down old route 49
Shivers going down our spines
Crank the volume up to max
We’ll work through our obscene acts
And I love it when our lips collide
That adrenaline junk going on inside
What’s-it-called…. Somewhat devotion
Filthy smiles, vulgar emotion.
Find lousy motels along the way
To be quite honest, we’re not okay.
The smug expression in your eyes,
The tarnished charm in your lies…
I drink it up, I can’t fight back
against your sleazy, elusive attack.
We’ll live our lives, a stunning hell.
The constant clash, life-long rebel.

The Faerie Ring

The faerie ring by [nothereanymore]

Silently they call to me,
Musical voices floating on the silvery wind.
Their enchanting music rouses me from my bed,
Slowly I follow the sounds to the bottom of the garden and into the forest.
Tiny lanterns surround me as I enter,
An owl hoots softly in the distance.
Laughter reaches my ears,
Feeling tugging, I look down.
In front of me a little faerie with wings of silken gold,
She smiles at me and pulls me closer, into a clearing.
I see a ring of mushrooms - I have found the faerie ring,
All around me the faeries gather.
pointing, whispering and giggling,
A clap is sounded and all is silent.
Before me stands the Queen of the Fae in all her glory,
She beckons me with a long finger inviting me into their circle of magic.
Honoured, I obey,
They offer me food and drink as they sing and dance.
The night draws on filled with much laughter,
The first rays of sunlight break through into the clearing and I thank the Queen for letting me see their magic.
Silently she smiles and dips her head in recognition,
Just before I leave the forest I turn and wave -
They are gone, but I know I shall be welcomed again.

Trend Game

Trend Game by [RINI]

You keep friends and lose friends like trends
Standing by the corner lockers
Wearing your “favorite” mini,
Talking to your “Favorite” friend
Come tomorrow they’ll both be gone
Replaced by things tacky and meaningless.

You complain about the fight,
Your parents don’t know what to do with you.
Sneaking out of the house at night
Doing anything to impress your crew
Listening to music you’d other wise hate
Wearing clothes you’d other wise disdain

You keep friends and lose friends like trends
Standing by the corner night club
Wearing your “favorite” lip gloss,
Talking to your “favorite” boy
Come tomorrow they’ll both be gone
Replaced by things tacky and meaningless

You don’t know who you are anymore
You miss the person you used to be
Sitting staring at the mirror
There must be something you don’t see
Skipping class with the worst of them
Smoking weed with the best of them

You keep friends and lose friends like trends
Standing in the corner bathroom
Wearing your “favorite” nail polish
Talking to your “favorite” dealer
Come tomorrow they’ll both be gone
Replaced by things tacky and meaningless

You dared to play the trend game
So now you’re all alone
You’ll never win or lose
Only lessons are there.
For you to learn.

My missing piece

My missing piece by [Elisa]

The sun slowly rising, that is my heart burning.
The clear running water, that is my unselfishness.
The pure air, that is my need to live.

Like music you charm the sun to turn night into day.
With love you fill me with desire to endless give.
And your soul, is the missing piece that makes me whole.

You my love, are my sun.
You my love, are the clear water running through my veins to purify my soul.
You, are the air I breath to stand strong.

By looking into your eyes, you wash away my pain.
Your voice makes me calm.
And when you take me into your arms, safety fills my soul.

Surroundings disappear as you fill me with your love.
Loneliness is no more.
So to you my angel I give; my heart, my mind, my body and my soul.
