Hearing what they heard today
They should've helped
They should've cared
No one ever really dared

They heard the screams
They heard the fight
They'll learn what they did tonight
They thought it all would be alright

They let her die
They let him lie
They let him get away
Her mother's cry
Now asking "why"
A town begins to pray

Returning now
He searches 'round
Looking for that man
Finding him, it all goes wrong
He never thought he'd win

All he had to do was stay
Far away, that fateful day
He found her fucking his best man
He took their lives, away he ran
Did they ever really care

They let her die
They let him lie
They let him get away
Now he's gone
The time has come
He's running still today
