OMG I saw the CUTEST PIT today! :D He is soooo tiny, and he's got such a big head. He's soooo adorable, even though he's sorta skin and bones. The guy who owns him said he was repoed by his breeder after... I think 8 months. But he is the CUTEST THING EVER omg. lol Ima borrow a camera and get a pic up sometime tonight, when I see him next. But OMG you'd fall in love with him too! :D!!!

The Bettah Fish
a.k.a.
The Siamese Fighting Fish.

General Info:
1. Bettah fish are intelligent and can be entertaining creatures that can bring delight into anyone’s home. These small, tropical creatures breath air, and can be taught tricks, like jumping to get the food pellet from your finger, or jumping to try to playfully attack your finger!
2. They cannot be put into the same tank without a secure screen and plenty of space between them. These fish are extremely territorial, and, once another male enters its area, they will attack each other. In the wild, should two fish attack each other, it isn’t to the death; it is simply until one flees the area. In a tank, they will fight to the death in a tank, because there is nowhere for the other to go. Do not put them in the same tank.
3. While these fish will attack each other when put in the same tank, it is actually healthy for them to see each other. As they flare their gills at the other, it creates a good kind of stress for them, allowing them a good confidence boost, and a chance to strut their stuff!
4. While it is true that Bettah fish can live in small spaces, it isn’t recommended that they remain in one. Like we humans, Bettah fish enjoy space. The more space the Bettah has, the better. However, keep in mind that a Bettah is a fish that breathes air, and, therefore, must travel to the top of its tank to breath occasionally. If the water in the tank is too deep, the Bettah will tire itself out continuously swimming up and down. So, no tank should be filled to exceed 10 inches of water.
5. Don’t be fooled by what people tell you; Bettah fish are carnivores by nature. While they eat those delightful little pellets you feed them every day, keep in mind that they are not supposed to eat any plant roots. There are people who will tell you that, when you put a specific plant in your Bettah’s tank, it will eat that are wrong. While Bettah fish will eat the roots, it is a last resort, as it is starving. Do not do this to your Bettah.
6. However much you decide to feed your fish per day, do not make it more than three pellets per day. If you are leaving on a trip for a week, and worry about your Bettah’s food supply, don’t. A Bettah can last that long without eating. However, if you are gone more then a week, ask a friend to look after your fish for you.
7. Finally, keep in mind that Bettah fish are tropical fish, meaning, they enjoy warm water. When in warm water, they are very active and attentive. When in colder water, they are sluggish and often settle at the bottom of their tank. It is best to keep their tanks at a constant 78 to 82 degrees. Purchasing heaters is very good idea (Do not buy in-tank heaters if the tank is less then 5-gallons. If it is under that, consider a heating pad to be placed under the small tank).

Mom: Did you check the dash? *gets up to find it herself*
Me: Yeah, are you sure you didn't take it inside with you..? *taking off socks*
Mom: Honey...

I knew this was coming. When I found it they were serious, I know this was going to happen. :/ My dad is married to his Filipino girlfriend, Grazel. and, you know, I'm happy for him, and I want the best in all. Really, I could handle the dramatic change that has occurred at his place since she came here. I could handle waking up to hearing them talking and laughing. I could. But I didn't want things that had became ritual to us to change. Nearly every weekend, I go to dads. Nearly every sunday, We have 'family dinner', with the minimum of me, mom, dad, and my sister. But, I knew when Grazel got here, that Dad would end up not going, which would usually leave just me and mom. And, of course, I was right. They've missed a few, and last week Grazel was weird about coming (first saying she'd go, then not, then giving an excuse why she didn't want to, then going anyway). Now...not this week. The first excuse was that by cousin's Volleyball games might be on Sunday, and they'd go to see those...Of course, no games today, but He had already said that "We'll probably hold off on Dinners for awhile...." meaning, it'll probably stop all together. I didn't want that to happen. And now...I just don't feel all that comfortable at dads, even though, most of the time, neither of them are there (I haven't spent a lot of time with Dad lately. Mostly by myself nowadays). :/ I didn't want either of that to happen...but it's going to.

I wish dad all the best, and want him to be happy, but....I didn't want to sacrifice those two things...I would give anything just to keep those intact....But it doesn't' look like it'll happen....

And this time....I can't just say 'oh well....'

:3 Sometimes I love my state. Really. There are things that you'd probably never see or hear of anywhere else. Look up Romeo the Wolf (from Juneau), in google, and You'll see what I mean.

Romeo was shot awhile ago, I'm not sure when, after many, many, MANY years of living at a lake in Juneau. People took thier dogs to see them. People got Christmas Photos with him in the background. He was a resident. I was told he had a diet of rabbits, small game, etc. Never dear, or dogs. He played with dogs. He was a large, beautiful animal that hadn't hurt anyone. Ever. And he was shot, because he was a wolf.
:/
That's why I hate people. I have nothing wrong with Hunting, but it should be dear or moose...Something that you'll use. I don't even mind killing animals like Wolves, but not just because it's there.

I dunno. Maybe I just don't know anything about hunting, maybe I'm setting a double standard. But I really don't care. Things that this, like what happened to Romeo, shouldn't happen. Even in my home town, a wolf was killed "because he was near a house and he could have killed the kids". Come on. They shot it because they wanted to shoot it and brag.

_> Enough ranting, I guess. But You really should look up Romeo the Wolf. he was a beautiful creature.
