The vast majority of politicians are shit, I guess.. I know a few that want to get into it and they'd be good at if they didn't get swamped into the bull.
I understand some of the system, was gonna be a politician myself then reality kicked in that about how much bull some of it is involved, but eh I'm better off as a history major anyways.

Governments only have 4 or if they're lucky years in power, to make a vast difference they need much longer, some policies brought in like 10 years ago and only have an effect now. People expect too much and then bitch when they don't get it.
Nah Bush isn't stupid, people say that he is, but he couldn't have got there if he was. Like i know someone who's really really quite stupid but she's not really stupid she just puts her foot in it a lot.

Well if a government only introduced those 5 policies and each time 70% of the people were pleased by the policy, after the 5 of them only 16% of the people would still be happy.
Im old enough to vote now, people though dont vote for who they think is best suited they vote sheerly for the one they like the most for completely non political reasons. When i do go to vote i'm gonna take a black marker with me and if i don't like any of the candidates i'm gonna write SPOIL over my paper. I'm still given an opinion, if you just didn't vote then what right do you have to express that ever if you don't vote, even if you wrote SPOIL you still went to the poll and said NO basically to them all.
If they get more spoils than any of the other candidates the vote is invalid and they have to recast :D Or so a pretty knowledgeable teacher i had once told me.
