2006-06-24 [Hedda]: Nice series of photos!
2006-06-24 [FireGypsy]: Nice pictures! How do you make the background black and white and the person stay colourful on Photoshop?
2006-06-25 [and i was a kaleidoscope]: you use the "lasso" tool or the "magic wand" tool to highlight everything in the background. then you go 'image' 'adjustments' and 'hue and saturation' put the saturation down to zero. all of the highlighted matter should then become greyscale. hope it makes sense!
2006-06-25 [FireGypsy]: I get it! Thanks!
2006-07-04 [- Kay;]: wow cool pictures...can you download photoshop or do you have to buy it? if so where can you buy it from ?
2006-07-04 [and i was a kaleidoscope]: i bought it. you can either order it online or buy it at a computer store. you can probably download it as well but its illegal.
2006-07-04 [- Kay;]: oh thanks :]
2006-07-17 [eyelinertears]: ur pics are awomse
2006-07-17 [and i was a kaleidoscope]: thank you. i've recently photoshopped more, but i'm not entirely sure its not against the rules to have more than the 20 or so i have up there
2006-07-31 [- Kay;]: hey..again :] i was just wondering... i have got corel paint shop pro X and i was wondering how do you do that :
2006-07-31 [FireGypsy]: I have a billion photos up, its a photoalbum after all, so it should be ok to have lots of photos. =)
2006-07-31 [- Kay;]: it dont matter now ive worked it out :]
2006-07-31 [and i was a kaleidoscope]: Kayla- well i did it by manipulating the background first, i used the "lasso" tool and the "magic wand" tool to select everything but the flower. then i went into the hue and saturation selection and put the saturation down to zero (making it greyscale). next, i diselected the background and used the same method to select the flower. i altered the levels and contrast to make it brighter. .... does all of that make sense?
2006-07-31 [and i was a kaleidoscope]: ah okay then
2006-08-09 [..oops..]: doesn't lack of colour mean....black and white?
or, does that like, not mean that?
2006-08-10 [and i was a kaleidoscope]: its from one of my favorite songs. it goes: "when you feel discouraged, that there's a lack of colour here. please dont worry lover, its really bursting at the seams from absorbing everything."
so i derived it from that.
i was just thinking that maybe i should change it to something that makes sense to normal people.
