The Rising Darkness-The Characters

In the kingdom of Yhe'rah and the smaller surrounding kingdoms, an evil has begun to rise. A terrible evil. In these kingdoms live demons, humans, creatures, and many other things. A prophecy has been made, though. One that gives a clue that will help to destroy the evil. Few know it, but those who do don't speak of it often. Now the adventure starts, in the streets of Yhe'rah.

Xania Vipea had been wandering the streets for a few hours now. All the merchants were avidly calling out to her and others as she passed them. She had no reason to buy any of their goods, though. However, fewer people walked the streets nowadays. The great evil had been steadily gaining power every day. She wanted desperately to be able to do something to get things back to the way they used to be. Not only that, she yearned for adventure. To be able to get past those tall brick walls surrounding the kingdom. But she was only a simple snake demon. Not important at all. Sighing, she continued on, delving deeper into her thoughts. She was snapped out of her trance like state after bumping into someone. She falls to the ground, having not been prepared for it.

Alec Drake was walking around the town, been messing with his knife that he kept in his pocket. He was thinking of ideas that he could use for some adventures. As he was walking and Looking down, he didn't notice where he was going, and bumped into a person.

Xania winces at the impact of hitting the ground. She mumbles a few choice words, most of which aren't very appropriate.

"Oh snap, I'm sorry, are you okay? Alec said while holding his hand out to help her up.

"It's ok, and yes, I'm fine," she states, gladly accepting his help. Only the black scales on the top of her hands are visible.

"That's good" Alec said with a smile. "I'm Alec Drake" Alec said as he held out his hand to shake hers.

Xania shakes his head, smiling. "Xania Vipea. Pleasure to meet you."

"Same To you" Alec said while smileing. "So where are you off to, that is if ya don't mind me asking"

Xania shrugs, crossing her arms. "Nowhere really. And you?"

"Me, hmm. I'm not sure really I was jsut thinking of ideas, thats really it" Alec said while putting his knife in his pocket.

"Ideas for what?" she questions, looking rather interested. Not much was happening lately, and any thing that sounded remotely interesting, she was eager to discuss it.

"Well, just ideas for adventures to go on, or some other place besides here" He said while looking at Xania.

She nods, sighing. "I'd like to go on an adventure. Anything to go beyond those stone walls that surround the kingdom..."

"hmm" he thinks so a moment " I got it, I could probly blow it up. See watch" He took a pencil out of his pocket, held it in his hand. It started to glow and made a whistle noise, then threw it on the ground and it exploded.

Shaking her head, she speaks. "Too risky. I could get out if I wished, but I don't know what I'd do once out." Actually, she knew exactly what she'd do. Yes, she knew the prophecy, the one that so many people seek after.

"Oh snap" he said looking at the ground. "You can wish yourself out?" he said looking shocked, that's so cool.

She looks confused after a moment, but then laughs. "Oh, no, that isn't what I meant. My meaning was that if I wanted to get out I'd be able to."

"Oh, that's cool. All I can do is make thinks explode and turn into any animals." he showed her by turning himself into a dog, then back to normal form.

She nods. "All I can do is turn into a snake and poison people..."

"Dude, that cool, can you turn into any other snake or just one kind?" He said looking at Xania.

She sighs, looking a bit disappointed. "Only one, unfortunately. I'm a viper demon."

"That's still cool" Alec said with a smile.

Xania shrugs. "It's ok. Not the greatest thing in the world."

"so, do ya want to get somthing to drink?" he said with hesatation.

She shrugs, smiling. "Sure, why not?"

"Alright cool, where do you want to go?" he asked Xania.

"Anywhere's fine. I haven't been to too many places," she replies, beginning to walk again.

"Oh, yeah same here, I didn't know if you knew any good places" he said while thinking of where to go.

Looking around, she spots a small merchant that was selling drinks. "We can get drinks from him, then go somewhere..."

"Alright, sounds good to me" they both started walking to the Small Merchant

Marina Celestia watches the two people walking towards the merchant. She listens to them as they talk amonst them selves and she stealthily walks over to them not being noticed. she hears them talking watching the shapeshifter and the viper demon. She had never met another like herself. Half evil Half good. She felt like her life was pulled in all directions, not knowing which way to go. To go to Good or evil. The mixing of a Vampire and an angel was always forbidden, she was always considered adn outcast. the only way she had learn how to stay alive was to become a slave.

Alec stop talking for a moment, and noticed someone watching them.

She looked into Alecs eyes and quickly looked away. She bit her lip thinking that she did something wrong.

Alec, was still looking at her. He thought to himself: Damn....Alec stop starring it's rude.

Marina hung her head and tried to walk away taking one last look at him before trying to walk away. But she felt something try to hold her back.

Alec had grabed her shoulder,(but not hard). "Hello" he said to her.

Marina froze. Only the man who owned her touched her but never like this. She turned obediantly around to him and kept her head hung. "H-Hello sir." She bit her lip and looked up at him. Her fememinin features looking afraid yet beautiful

Alec looked down at her, "There is no need to call me Sir, you can just call me Alec" He said while smiling.

Marina smiled flashing her little daggers to him. "Yes Sir-I mean Alec. I'm sorry its just an old habit." She licked her lip and tilted ehr head still smiling, pretty much staring/gazing at him.

"It's alright, so what's your name?" He asked while smiling at her.

"My name is Marina Celestia. Have you ever heard of the Half-breed. the half angel half vampire?" She asked moving towards him.

"I heard of them, just never saw them in person before. Well I'm Alec Drake, and it is nice to meet you." He said putting out his said sos she could shake it.

She shooks his hand and smiled. "Them? there's more of us-I mean them." She bit her lip she knew she screwed up.

"Oh, I didn't mean like Them I just ment like...Gaw" Alec said holding his index finger and thumb between his eyes/ upper nose. "I'm Sorry" He said looking back a Marina.

She smiles and touches his shoulder. "Its ok. I was just wonering about others like me. I just want to know that I'm not the only one, that I'm not an abomination. Thats what everyone else thinks of me." she cast her eyes to the floor with her hand still on his shoulder.

"It's okay, your not alone. Take me for intence, I'm a Vampire Demond, yet i'm also a Shapeshifter" He said looking at Marina, ans smiling showing his fangs.

She smiled and found herself intrigued with him for some reason. "Yeah but thats normal. For someone like me its a little strange to be both good and evil and not know what you are." She tilted her head and smiled wide Her fangs sliding from thier sheaths.

"You do have a point" He said while thinking. "But, so far you are Good to me, or you would be trying to kill me" He said luaghing a little bit.

She smiles and bites her lip. "No I'm not trying to kill you as long as you don't try to kill me." She smiles and moves closer to him when someone tries to get past her. she still has her hand on his shoulder whiles she licks her lips secuctively.

"That's good, because I would of hated it if I had to kick your ass" He said looking at Marina, and luaghing in a joking way.

Her head shoots up and she looks at him. "um uh." She doesn't know what to say so she just stands there looking over every inch of him.

Alec looks down at her, seeing that he is taller than her. "Yeah, I was just messing with the I'll Kick Your Ass thing" He smiled and looked at his shoulder, then at Marina.

Marina moves her hand away from him shoulder quickly. "Oh I'm sorry." She quickly whispered looking up at him. her eyes gazing a soft brown.

"Oh, it's okay, it didn't bother me" He said smiling, more of a smirk then a smiling. He started to study at he Brown eyes.

She licked her lips wetting them alittle as she watched him study her. She was becoming infatuated with him. she didn't know why though it wsa just happening.

Alec shook his head a little, to stop from looking at her eyes. he then put both of his hands in his Fish-Net hoodie.

She smiled and moved her hair away from her neck. She crossed her arms over hre chest and wondered what he was doing.

Alec, darted his eyes at the ground a few times, then looked up at Marina. "Hey, um..do you want to go with me and Xania to get somthing to eat?" he asked her nervesly.

She puts her hand to her stomach realizing that she hadn't eaten all day. She nods and looks at him. "Sure but first can I ask you a question?"

"Uh, yeah sure, go ahead" he said look at her.

"Why are you so nervous around me? I can't hurt you so its got to be something else." She moved closer to him only this time unconsiously taking his hand in hers.

"Uh...I don't know" Alec said while looking back at the ground.

She smiles and touches his cheek. "Yes you do. Your just trying to hide it. If I'm making you uncomfortable just tell and I'll back off." She looks down at the ground biting her lip.

Alec paused, as she touched his cheek. "Uh, I'm not hinding anything" he said still looking at the ground.

"then why aren't you looking at me if you hav enothing to hide?" She asks moving away from his putting her hands at her sides. She stands with her back against a wall facing him.

Alec looked up at her. "I just get nerves for no reason" He said still looking at Marina. He startred to tap his foot on he ground with out relizing it.

She looked away from his gaze bowing her head and biting her lip. Marina rested her head against the wall behind him avoiding his eyes.

Alec broke the uncomferiable silence, and said "Hey what about that food? You still hungry?" He said looking at Marina.

She smiled and held ehr gaze to the floor. "Yeah sure. I'm still hungry."  but not for the things you offering. She thought smelling the air for human blood. She bit her lips and closed her eyes.

"Hmm...Hey why dont we make eating a little fun, What do ya say? Alec said looking around.

She smiled and looked into his eyes. "What do you mean?" She asked licking her lips.

"What do you say if we...uh..i don't know, Acadentaly Bit, someone" Alec said looking at Marina.

"Uh...um well I..uh." just do it her mind was screaming at her. "W-who did you have in mind?" she said looking seductivly hungrily at him.

"Hmm...Anyone who looks good enough, what do ya say" He said Grinning at her.

She licked her top lip and smiled. Nodding she took Alecs hand. "Show me where to go." Marina said tilting her head up to look at him.

"Alright then fallow me" He said. They soon arived at a Club. It didn't have lot of light, but just enough to were you could see where you are going. They stoped at the door. "This is it" He said, he then open the door to see other Demonds were here. "This is an old Bar" he said Smiling at Marina.

Marina looked up at him and smiled. "Do you know any of these people?" she asked getting pushed agianst him as someone pushed her from behind.

"Watch it!" He yelled at the demond that pushed her. "Yeah i know some, like over there is Dagger the werewolf, he one of my good pals" He said pointing across the dance floor over at a table. "But, I think we should leave him be".

She moved away from him carefully before leaning in and plainting a kiss on his cheek. "I'm sorry about me bumping into you." I think that I see a measly little human over ther that I'm going to get my dinner from. I'll come back in a few minutes.

Alec stood there, he put his hand on his cheek and watched Marina walk over to the pathetic human. "O-okay, he said".

She looked back at Alecs expression one last time before making her way over to the human. He was dancing and moved over to him making small talk. After a few minutes she leaned in to whisper in his ear. "You want to get out of here?" she asked her eyes flickering over to his. He smiled, taking her hand and leading her out of the club. He pushed her against the wall and pulled her lips into a brusing kiss. She pulled away from him, kissing down his neck before biting into it recieving a small subtle whimper from him as she drank.

Alec started looking around then saw a lonly girl sitting at a table, he walked over to her and they started talking. The girl then leaned over and starting kissing him, he then started to kiss her, he whispered in her ear and said "This won't hurt a bit he grabed the back of her neck and started biting her. she started to scream, but he put his hand over her mouth. after he was done with her, we wiped his mouth, and started to go find Marina.

Marina held hte man close as she finished him off. He was dead in her arms when she let him drop to the ground. She pushed him away and wiped her mouth with the back of her hand. She walked away looking for alec.

Alec was still looking for Marina, but he was also looking at the place they were in, he thought to his self: Man, I haven't benn here for a long time. As he was walkig he bumped into Marina.

Marina fell to the floor on her knees as she hit the ground. She hit her head on ther ground as she looked up to see who bumped her.

Alec looked down. "Oh i'm really sorry Marina", he helped her up and took her to a free table. "Are you alright"?

"OH its ok. I'm fine. It just a bruise nothing serious." She smiled and leaned on the table. "Well looks like you got me back when I bumped in to you." She said smiling at him.

"Yeah, but some one else bumped into you so you bumped into me. Well in any case I am sorry" He said looking at her

She smiled at Alec and moved his hair away from his eyes. "You have really pretty eyes." She said whispering.

"Oh, thank you" he said looking down, "No one has ever said that to me" He said while blushing

She smiled and leaned against the table. "Well now someone has said it to you." she giggled and looked up at the stars.

Alec smiled and looked up to see what she was looking at.

Xania, who had followed them into the bar, merely glanced at the two, one brow raised. Didn't they just meet a few minutes ago she thinks. Without a word, she goes over to a table to sit down. This bar was one of her haunts. She came often, in other words. Her piercing garnet eyes pass over the room, observing the people there.

Marina glanced back at the woman and smiled. She had seen the woman talking to Alec before she stole him away from her. "Hi. I'm Marina. Whats your name?" She asked smiling bright.

Xania looks across the empty table lying between them to Marina. "Xania. My name is Xania. Pleasure to meet you." She keeps a calm face, showing barely any emotion, as was her nature.

Alec stood up quikly. "Xania, hi I guess you two already interduced eachother" He said with a quik smile.

Xania nods, once again a brow raised. "Yes...Why did you stand up?"

"Because it's the way I was raised. Sorry I'll sit down" Alec then sat down again.

Xania lets a small smile tilt at the corners of her lips. "There's nothing for you to apologize for," she states, sounding amused. I sure meet the strangest people...

"Yeah, we just came here to get some food, Well some different food" He said while smiling at Xania.

Xania nods, having seen the little biting scenes. "Yes, I noticed."

"Oh yeah" AS he looked over at the large crowd, where he was with that girl earlier. "It's not that hard to notice is it" He said while luaghing.

"Not exactly, no," Xania states, giving a weak smile.

"I'm not to be rude, but you seem to be mad or annoyed by something, or someone" Alec said looking down at the floor.

Xania shakes her head. "No, not at all. I'm just not that good at showing any emotions but anger for some reason..."

"Oh i see, so do you...Girls want to get out of here?" Alec said with a smile.

"It doesn't matter to me, but we just got here, didn't we?" Xania questions, looking to Alec.

"Oh, yeah that's true, okay we can stay here" Alec said while smiling.

Marina smiles at Alec's nervousness. He always seems to be hiding something from them. "Alec...Are you sure you not hiding anything? Cause you don't seem to be acting alright." She looked into his eyes reaching across the table letting her fingers graze over the top of his hand.

Alec looked away. "Oh course i'm not, why would I be?" He asked looking back at Marina then at Xania.

"Becaues you keep looking away from me everytime I do something of touch you." she pulled her hand back. Great now I went to far. Damn it.

"It's just I get nerves, and I have always been nerves around Women." He said while blushing and smileing. Damn Alec stop being such a wuss.

"Sure." She said before getting up and walking away looking at the stars above her. I need to stop right now. I can't get close to someone now. I just can't do that again. I can't get my heartbroken again over someone who doesn't want me.

Still showing no emotion, Xania delves into thought. This is really strange. I mean seriously, they just met...

Marina lays down on the grass watching the stars and notices a bright shooting star. make a wish she thought to herself wishing with all her might.

Alec then looked at Xania, then got up and streched. "I don't know about you or Marina, but I'm tired." He said scratching his head.

She closes her nd thinks of the past wondering were everyone is. She hadn't kept in contact with anyone. She missed them. Don't think about it

Alec sat back down and put his head on his arms, while chewing on a peice of his hair. Just looking around.

Marina stood slowly and walked over to the table. She looked at Alec and decided to sit down next to him. She was about to ouch him but then though twice about it and pulled her hand away. She clasped her hands in her lap and hung her head biting her lip.

Yeah, I'm freaked out, she thought once more, staying at her own table. Things were slow at the bar tonight, and there were barely any customers.

Marina looked away from him and bit her lip. Stop while your ahead before you get hurt. she thought to herself biting her lip hard until she tasted ehr own blood.

Alec stoped chewing on his hair, and looked at Marina without moving his head. then he looked at Xania also without moving his head. "Damn...I'm thirsty. Are you two thirsty" He asked while standing up.

Marina shook her head and stared at the ground. She stood abruptly and went back to her spot on ther ground with her eyes on the blanket of stars.

"Okay, what about you Xania" He said turning over to her.

"Naw, I'm fine. Thanks anyway, though," she absentmindedly replies, still deep in thought.

Marina begins to hum and she closes her eyes falling into a light sleep. cluthing the cross around her neck.

"Okay, I'll be back in a minute. A few mins. later Alec came back with some Tea. "I never knew they had tea here before, well of course I never came here for tea before but for-" Alec stoped and just sat down. He sat there watching Xania think then turned his head to Marina.

Marina moaned in her sleep and turned over to her side. She was dreaming of good things. things that she used to love. and things that she would want to love.

Alec smiled at her and took a sip of his tea. then rested his head on the table.

Xania just stared into space, her garnet eyes glazed over in thought. She was beginning to remember that she needed to get out of the city. A few people had begun to annoy her about the prophecy, but she would never tell them. They only wanted the glory of heroism, not to save the people. They would most likely meet their demise, should they leave. The new evil was great and powerful. Anyway, though, she just needed to leave, before she was driven to insanity.

Alec looked up at Xania wondering what she was thinking, and wondering how they are to get out of the city and over the wall.

Marina opened her eyes and sat up. She looked around and wondered how long she had been asleep. She stood up and walked over to the table that Alec and Xania were at. She sat down next to Alec and smiled not saying a word.

Alec looked over at Marina and smiled back. He didn't lift his head from his arms he just sat there.

Marina casted her eyes down towards the ground and bit her lip. she rubbed her wrist gently.

"What's wrong Marina?" Alec said looking at her.

"Oh uh N-nothing," LIAR her mind screamed ,"Just a scratch."

"Oh...okay, are you sure?" Alec asked Marina.

"Yes" She smiles fakely. LIAR!!!

"Oh, okay." He said while smiling.

Xania snaps out of her daze, jerking her head. After a moment, she relaxes again. I feel a strong presence, she thinks, looking around.

Alec looks over at Xania. "What is it?" Alec asked Xania.

"Can't you feel it?" Xania questions, looking around. She tries to find whoever it is that has such a strong aura.

"Yeah, I can feel it, I just don't know what it is." Alec sat there and conentrated. "I think it's in this room"

Marina looked from one person to the other. she couldn't feel it which wsa odd cause she used to be able to feel presences.

Alec looked around the room to see if there was anything strange, but he saw nothing. "That's weird, I can feel it, but I can't see it."

"What does it feel like? Cause I can't feel anything and I can usually sense things." She looked around the room not noticing anything except the men staring at her and flicking there fangs at her as a come on.

"It feels, well powerful. That's all that I can say about, because there isn't much more." Alec said putting his hands on his head. "What are you looking at?" Alec asked Marina.

"The men who are staring at me? I don't get it what do they want from me?" She looked away from them and put her head on the table.

"Oh, well go knock them out if their bothering you" Alec said looking at Marina.

"No its ok. Cause it will only get worse if I do something." She didn't move her head from her arms.

"Yeah, you do have a point, but I'm going to keep a eye out for anything strange" Alec said sitting up in his chair


She lifted her head up from her arms and smiled at him. She touched his arm gently with her fingertips. "Thanks for that." she said keeping her fingers there.

Alec smiled back. "Your welcome." he said

She smiled back at him and didn't move her fingers. She tilted her head and stared at him.

"Um, not to be rude, but why are you starring at me?" Alec satrring back.

She snapped back into reality and looked away. "Oh..I'm sorry." She gazed down at her lap. and clasped her hands into her lap.  I need to stop staring at him. It doesn't help the situation.

Xania stands up at her table, looking around. The presence was bothering her, but she could still not tell where it came from. Her garnet eyes sweep over the entire room.

Marina stood up from the table and walked into the crowd. She kept walking until she felt a cold hand on grip her arm. she looked around and saw another vampire. He was smiling at her as he pulled her away from hte mass of people. no one able to hear her screams.

That's what the vampire thought at least. Xania's excellent hearing easily picked out the screams. She began to walk in the direction they were coming from.

"Xania, where are you going?" Alec asked, but then got up and started to fallow her.

Marina was pressed up against the wall as the pushed his body against hers. "Please don't. Just stop. Please don't hurt me.." her voice trailed off as his fingers slid around her throat. she a a crystal path flowing down her cheeks from her tears. The man kept touching her and trying to move her body. she felt him push a blade into her neck and slice it shallowly. He leaned in licking the blood off of her throat and pushed the tip of her blade into her stomach.

"Xania, wheres Marina?" Alec asked her

"LET ME GO!!!" She screamed and tried to push him off. He just pinned her to the wall and told her to stay still if she wanted to be alive by tommorow.

"Did you hear that?" Alec said listening to where it was coming from. "That sounded like Marina"

Marina's body was trembling from her tears and how afraid she was. she needed to get him off of her but it was no use. He just kept pushing against her, harder against the wall.

"Damn...I just remebered, I'm a shapeshifter." Alec said to himself. He turned himself into a black hound dog.... and started to sniff marina's sent.

"You'll like this trust me..." He hissed into her ear only making her cry harder. He tore at her neck with his fangs to find her artery. Finding it he bit into her neck and began to drink...

Alec found her sent and ran throw the people to get to her, he turned back in human form. "come on Xania" he tried to open the door but it was locked, so he tried to bust it open, after a few times he managed to do so.

Marina had fainted in the arms of her attacker. she had her eyes closed and a painfull expression playing across her face.

"You bastard, let her go" Alec had warned him.

The man holding Marina let herfall to the floor in a heap. He turned back to Alec. "Why? Does she belong to you? Cause I didn't see your name on her." He was cackaling now to himself at the look on Alec's face.

"No, but she does not belong to you." Alec step towared Marina.

The man looked over his shoulder at Marina before looking back at Alec. He took ahold of his arm and flung him into the near wall before running off.

"Damn..."Alec said "Are you alright Marina?" He asked her.

Marina was laying on the floor not making a sound. she had passed out from her attacker. She wasn't moving an inch, she couldn't. she just laid there like she was in a deep sleep.

"Damn...she's knocked out" Alec walked over to her, bent down and picked her up. He carried her to a near by table, and sat her on a booth.

Marina's head managed to restitself on Alec's shoulder. She whimperd at first but then became accousdomed to it. She moaned and her body moved until her head was resting on his chest and her arms were around his waist.

Alec looked down in shock, but just let her lay there, he ordered him self a drink, and sat there.

Marina opened her eyes and moaned into the shirt that was pressed against her cheek. She looked up and saw Alec. She didn't know what to do so she just touched his cheek and traced his lips with her finger.

Alec leaned in and kissed Marina on the lips.

Marina closed her eyes and lightly moaned. She touched the back of his neck and pulled him closer gently.

Alec let her pull him closer, but some one interupted them. "Hey the bar is closeing" The bar tender said.

Marina pulled back slowly, opening her eyes after she was a foot away from him. She opened her eyes and looked at Alec. She bit her lip and hung her head. "I'm sorry I shouldn't have done that." you did it because you wanted to. You wanted to know what it felt like to feel another person again.

"It's okay, it's not your fault." Alec said while smiling. "Sorry sir we'll be leaving" Alec said to the bar tender.

Marina walked out of the bar with Alec beside her she turned to him once and took his hs dragging him to a dark corner. She stood on her tip toes facing him. She leaned into his lip snad brushed hers against his. She pressed her lips against his wrapping her arms around him.

Alec wraped his arms arounf Marina, and kissed her.

Marina ran her fingers through his hair while letting his tongue fondle hers. she moaned and pushed against him.

Alec leaned agaist the wall, and put his hands on her hips.

Marina glided her hands down the front of his chest, moving them under his shirt. scratching lightly just ot entice him.

Alec held her close, and kept kissing Marina.

Marina turned her head to catch her breath, resting her head on his shis shoulder. "Forgive me I couldn't stop myself. I just needed to know that it was real." She put her arms around his waist resting her head against his chest. Great now you just went ahead and opened yourself up for more heartache, worse then before.

"It's okay" Alec said holding Marina.

Marina smiled at him and touched his cheek. She pushed agaisnt him and bit her lip.

"Well we should get going it's late and I'm tired." He said while smiling.

Marina smiled and looked at him. "Where would we be able to rest or sleep?or anything?"

"um..my house is right down the road" Alec said to Marina.

Xania, who had dealt with the other vampire, had stumbled upon the little kissing scene, and had left before they had began to talk again. Once she was far away enough that they couldn't hear her, she speaks. "That was odd..." Putting the thoughts about Marina and Alec out of her mind, she begins to think about the prophecy. "Why me?"

Alec turned around. "Xania there you are" Alec said walking towards her.

However, Xania was no longer there. She had wandered off into the darkness of the city streets.

Marina caught up to Alec. "where did she go?"

"I don't know but I'm going to go find her." Alec said, he turned into a Dog, and started to smell for her sent.

Xania felt the two following her, and wasn't in the mood to deal with people too much right now. Picking up a piece of paper that was lying there and wrote a short message.

Don't try to follow me. I will meet with you tomorrow afternoon in the market. I'll find you.

After writing this, she sets it on the ground and begins to run.

Alec saw the paper on the ground, and read it. "Damn..." He thought to himself. He than sat on the ground.

Marina kneels down in front of him "Something wrong?"

"Yeah...sort of." He said. Alec handed Marina the note.

"She should be coming back shouldn't she? Thats what she said." She sat down with her feet tucked under her.

"Well of course she will, I just want to know what's wrong." alec said with his legs crossed.

She nodded her head and looked at the ground. Her hair covering her face.

"Come on lets go." Alec said.

"Where are we going?" She said moving to her feet.

"Somewhere we can rest" He said. "I have some money and we can each get a room at a hotel or somthing." He said getting up.

Xania had been running where her feet had decided to take her. She didn't care at the moment. Nothing mattered but to try and outrun the thoughts that plagued her mind.

Alec walked down the sidewalk, with his hands in his leather coat pockets. I wonder where Xania is. He thought to himself.

Marina walked beside him wondering what he was thinking. She crossed her arms across her chest rubbing her arms. She stared at the ground as she continued to follow him to whereever he was going.

A few blocks later they came to a hotel. "Well here we are. I'll get us our rooms." Alec said walking into the door.

She nodded and stood in the doorway. She watched him from the corner of her eye. She watched outside as the rain began to fall. She watched in fall and her eyes followed every rain drop she could see.

Alec walked over to Marina. "Here you room #17, and I'm room #18." He said handing her the key.

She smiled and took her key from his hand. She lookd at him and her key from his hand. She lookd at him and bit her lip. "Is my room next to yours? where are the rooms?" She walked closer to him feeling the rain on the backs of her legs.

Suddenly, Xania tripped. She falls to the ground, landing in some water. "Just what I need..." Standing up, her strait black hair hangs in her face, completely soaked.

"Just fallow me". Alec said walking to his room.


She nodded and began to walk over to him.


They got to their rooms. "Okay, this is your room #17, and mine is right cross from yours room #18." he said showing her the rooms.


She smiled as she took her key from his hand her finger tips brushing against his palm. She kissed him on hte cheek. "G-night. Come by my room in the morning and wake me up when you get up. Ok?" she said tilting her head.


"Um... Thank you,and and I will wake you up." He said while smiling.


She smiled and said g-night one more time before opening up her room and closing the door behind her. She ran over to the bed jumping on it like a child. She had never slept on anything that wasn't on the floor.


Alec walked into his room, takeing off his jacket and shirt, and through it on the floor and left it there. He had on his bed and rested there, loking at the ceiling.


Marina laid on the bed and closed at her eyes. She laid there for a few moments thiking of the past the present her future. She stayed like that until she fell into a restless sleep a few minutes later.


Damn...I'm hungry, but I'm too lazy to get up Alec said to himself. Then he fell asleep.


Marina kept tossing and turning in her sleep. She was finding it very difficult to get comfortable. She wanted to feel the way she did in Alec's arms, but she knew that he would never allow it. She felt a little alone in this big bed.She wanted someone anyone beside her.


Alec layed there snoring untill he woke up. He sat up and heard his stumic growl. "Damn...I have to eat somthing." He got up, and went out into the hall. Marina said to wake her up when I got up, but I don't she would be happy waking up at 3 in the morning. He walked down to the cafateria. Bought himself some snacks.


Marina laid there for a few minutes beforeshe opened her eyes she didn't like this. she stood up and walked over to ther door opening it slightly. She walked over to Alec's door and knocked lightly. He didn't answer so she thought that he was still asleep.


Alec was walking down the hall. "Um..Marina, are you okay?" He asked her.


Marina looked up at him her face flushed. "Oh..Uh ye-ye-yeah. I was just getting some air." She said her cheeks burning. LIAR LIAR! Why don't you just tell him what you wanted to do with him. Get all cuddly and crap. Marina ignored the voices in her head and smiled weakly.


"Oh, okay. I have some snacks would you like some?" Alec asked while smiling.


"Sure I haven'teaten real food for a while." She took the bag that he had offered her. She smiled opening, her mouthhappy when she started eating it.


"Alright, well I'm tired, I'm ganna go back to sleep for a while". He said streching.


"Oh yeah that was what I was just about to do. I'm just so uncomfotable in that room and I don't know why." she said yawning.


"Oh, well what's wrong with it?" Alec asked Marina.


"I'm just not used to sleeping like that. in such a large space and not being stuffed together like sardines. It's just that I'm not used to being alone." she looked down. "I know it just sounds like I want to sleep in the same bed with you but its not like that. Trust me."


"Oh, I see, well you can stay in my room. You can have the bed and I will take the couch. If you want to" He said opening his door.


She smiled and walked in. "No thats ok. I'll sleep on the couch and you can have the bed. It is your room anyway." She said sitting on the edge of the couch.


"No, go ahead please take the bed." Alec beged her.


No thats ok. I mean one of us has to take the bed and we can't both be in there." she said her cheeks burning pink from embarrasment.


"That's why you can take the bed." Alec said to her.


"Why do you want me to take the bed?" she said smirking.


"Um...because I don't like it." Alec said.


She giggled and bit her lip. "well what wrong with it?"


"It's to...to...Soft." He said to Marina.


She raised her eyes brows. "Why would that be a problem? I mean my problem is actually true. I don't like being that bed alone- but uh why would the bed be too soft.?"


"Well it's just soft, and I don't like soft beds, they hurt my back." Alec said to her.


"Oh." she said shuffling to her feet. she sat on the edge of the bed and looked at him. She smiled weakly before hanging her head.


"Why do you want me to sleep on the bed anyways." Alec said, while sitting next to her.


Her eyes widened and she looked away. "I- uh...I-I" She couldn't think as she sat next to him. She bit her lip and looked at him. "I don't know. I just do." she hung her head.


"Oh" he said looking at her.


"I'm sorry." She said standing and going to the window.


"It's okay" Alec said looking up at her. "I think we should get some sleep, it's four in the morning, and we have to meet Xania." Alec said walking over to Marina. "So, who gets the couch?"


"You can take it if you want. I don't care. I guess I'll just take the bed." She said turning back to him.She leaned in and put her arms around his neck, hugging him.


"Oh, okay. Thank you." Alec hugged her back.


She rested her head on his chest and closed her eyes. "How did you know that I wanted to sleep next to you?" She said looking up at him.


"I don't know maybe...you come into my room at four in the morning and argue about who gets the couch." He said luaghing.


"oh. ok. well I just didn't want to be in that bed alone." She said smiling.


"Oh, well I guess it wouldn't hurt to stay in the same bed for one night." Alec said looking at Marina.


She smiled and nodded her head. "Ok I'd like that." she said biting her lip.


"Thank you for putting up with me. and um thank you for your kiss. I know you did it just to cheer me up." She smiled.


"Heh...your welcome, it's all good." He said to Marina.


She giggled and looked at the clock. She gasped. "Oh we better get some sleep. its nearly five. And I'm really tired." She said pulling herself away from his touch and going over to the bed.


"Yeah me too." He said walking over to the bed.


She pulled down the covers and sat down on the edge of the bed. Thinking for a sort moment before lying down and placing the blankets on top of her.


Alec sat on the bed and just layed down and rolled over on his back, and fell asleep.


Marina laid in the bed next to him watching him as he slept. She kept her eyes on the rise of the sun that kept rising over the horizon and drainning her strenght. She closed her eyes and went to sleep. Sleeping on her side facing Alec, Her hair in her face.


Alec just layed there not dreaming of anyting.


Marina laid there, her nose twiching when she dreamt. Dreaming of a world of blood and torture. Like her life had been.


Alec rolled over, trying to find a comy spot.


Marina whimpered in her sleep softly. Moving towards the middle of the bed. again her hair covering her face.


Alec opened one of his eyes, and looked at Marina.


Marina bit her lip in her sleep. wriggling her nose. trying to push the hair out of her face.


Alec closed his eye, and rolled over on his stumic.


Marina rolled over on her back and turned her head to the side. biting her lip.
Her hand brushed agsint something warm and her eyes shot open. she pulled her hand away and and turned her head to stare out the window.


Alec lefted his head up and whiped his eyes with the palm of his hand. Then fell back asleep.


Marina closed her eyes and turned onto her side and slept dreamlessly.
Her breathing became regular and she felt her body get cold from the chill of the air.


**Hours pasted, and soon it was 10:00am**


The sun played across Marina's face but she didn't want to open her eyes to take it in.


Alec woke up and sat up in the bed, whiping his eyes.


Marina felt the weight of the bed but she didn't want to get up. she wanted to lay there so she moved over to Alecs side of the bed finding his warm spot and laying in it the blankets in front of her face.


Alec looked over at Marina, and got up and went to get his shirt that was on the floor.


Marina curled herself into a ball hoping to find warmth. she felt like her body was freezing.


Alec got his shirt and put it rightside up. "Are you cold?" Alec asked Marina.


She made a sound that sounded like yes but she didn't open her eyes. she didn't want to see the light.


"I take that a yes." Alec said walking to the end of the bed. He grab the covers and pulled them off.


she shivered more with the removal of the covers and put her hands between her thighs to heat them up. Her head was pushing into the pillow.


"Come on sleepy head, I never sleep this late usally I'm up at 7. And we got to meet Xania in a few minutes." Alec said walking into the bathroom.


She sat up in bed and opened her eyes.Her hair feel down her shoulders in a sea of chesnut curls. she rubbed her eyes and pulled the covers against her. "It's so cold right now. can't you feel it?"


"No, the cold doesn't bother me, the heat does. It feels good right now." He said walking out of the bathroom.


She got off the bed and took his hand in hers. She put it to her forehead. "Can you feel it now. Something is not right. I feel like I just came from antarctica or something."


"Well I can kinda feel it, but my body is natuarly Cold" He said feeling his hand.


She looked down at the ground. I need like something to heat me up. Thats why I tried with the covers but even they aren't working. She bit her lip hesitantly.


"I have my jacket, if that would help" He said looking at Marina.


"I don't know what would help at this point." She looked up at him and moved in closer leaning against him, wrapping her arms around his waist. "I'm sorry" she muttered not releasing him from her grip.


"It's okay" He said looking down at her.


She pressed her cheek against him. She could feel his body heat through his shirt. His skin was warmer then hers was. She put her hands against his chest and laid her Head on them.


"Wow, you are cold." Alec put his arms around Marina.


"Uh-huh." She said closing her eyes. Trying to imagine somewhere warm. "I don't know why I'm so cold. I just woke up that way." Her lipps were trembling.


"That's strange." Alec said.


"Y-Yeah I know." she said looking up at him her lips turning blue.


Alec steped back. "Maybe if we go outside, you'll feel better, and we got to meet Xania too."


"S-Sure. Maybe that will help." She said crossing her arms.


"Alright then let's go." Alec said and headed toward the door.


She nodded similing weakly and headed towards the door.


Xania wanders slowly through the market, waiting for her two aqcuaintances. Her all black outfit gives her a dark look.


Marina locates Xania and walks towards her. "Tell me Xania what are you planning to do cause I know that its something."


Alec walks up and says "Hey Xania"


Turning around, she sees both Alec and Marina. "Really, you have no place to be ordering me to tell you anything. I barely know you. But, I suppose I'll answer. I plan on getting out of this idiotic city. I merely wished to know if you wanted to come."


"Yes Marina, please Calm down." Alec said looking at her, then back at Xania. "I would love to come with you Xania." He said looking at her.


Xania nods to Alec, then looks to Marina. "And you?"


Alec smiles at Xania and turns to look at Marina.


Before waiting for an answer, she speaks again. "I hope you realize that once we are out, you two are on your own. I'm going to be going somewhere that you'd most likely rather not go to."


Alec turned his head towards Xania. "Where are you going?" He asked her with surprise.


"You have heard of the evil that is steadily gaining power, haven't you?" she questions, brow raised.


"Yes, yes I have, and I would like to do what ever I can to stop it." He said looking at Xania.


"It's your life," she states, shrugging.


"Well, of course it is, but aren't you going to at least try to stop it?" Alec asked looking confused.


"Of course I am. I just assumed you wouldn't want to go." Xania says.


"Well of course I do, would you mind if I went with you?" Alec said looking around where they were standing.


Xania shakes her head. "Not at all. The more help I can get, the better."


"Alright sounds like a plan to me." Alec said with some excitment in his voice.


"What plan? The only plan we need is how to get to the evil's main base."


"It was a figer of speech, I have no idea how we are going to do that" Alec said looking at the ground.


Marina looked at the ground and her voice was no louder then a subtle whisper. "Xania I'm sorry if I ordered you. I didn't mean to but what if I came with you. I could help I know I could."


Alec looked down at Marina, then looked at Xania. "Well in my opion this isn't going to be easy." Alec said.


"Yeah I know that it will." she daid looking down.


"Good. Then you should be able to keep up." Alec said Smiling.


"I will if I have the power to." She smiled.


"I'm sure you will." Alec said, then turned to Xania.


Xania nods to Marina. "Alright then. Might as well start off sooner than later," she states, beginning to walk.


Marina nods her head and begins to walk up to Xania Alec walking beside her.


"So...girls wheres the first place we are headed to?" Alec asked luaghing a little.


"No one knows," she says, a solemn expression lies on her face. "No one's ever lived to tell anyone."


"Well, hopefully that will change soon" Alec saud to both of them.


"So then noone knows whats on the outside of the kingdoms wall?" She asked looking at the two of them.


"Well, yeah...as far as we know."Alec said to Marina.


she looked at him. "Why? How come no one wants to find out whats behind the wall?"


"Well, I'm not too sure on that." Alec said.


"Oh" Marina said walking with her head towards the ground. She began to rub her wrists again.


"Yeah, theres alot I don't know about the other side, but I can't wait to find out." Alec said putting his hands in his pockets.


Marina nodded still looking at the ground. she kept rubbing her wrist until she felt it become wet. Her eyes opened and she pulled up her sleeve revealing the cuts that she had made. she bit her lip and brought her wrist to her lips.


Alec was looking forward till he noticed Marina. "Hey Marina are you okay?" He asked her.


"Um-uh" Marina pulled her wrist away from her lips and held her sleeve up. She licked the blood from her lips. "I don't know."


"Well did you cut youself on somthing?" He asked her.


"Yeah but I sort of did it on.." Purpose. Just tell him that you cut your self. Or maybe he can hear your thougts right now. she bi her lip.


"On....Purpose." Alec said not looking at her. "Is that correct?" He asked.


"Wait a secon dyou have been able to hear my thoughts since I met you? so then that mean that you heard everything that I thought about...well you?" she said her eyes bringing fear.


Alec's eyes widen. "Me?...of course not, it was just a guess." He said nervesly and scratching his head.


She smiled. "Oh thank god." She said holding her wrist. She pressed her palm against it healing it. "See all better." she said holding up her wrist.


"That's good." Alec said to Her.


Marina smiled and kept walking on. She was biting her lip as she reached the kingdom walls.


Alec kept walking, wondering what is on the other side of the wall.


"Alec do you think that things will be different on the other side? Do you think that people on the other side will have kingdoms and servents and everything that they have here?" Marina looked over at him.


Alec thought for a moment. "Who knows maybe it will be a better place, or it could be some horriable death trap. I think it will be just like it is now." Alec said while shruging.


Marina nodded. "Thats what I think. Lets just hope I don't become a slave again like I was in this world. It would suck to have to go throught that." She didn't look at him instead she looked up at the sky.


"Hmm...well I know one thing for sure, is that I am not becoming a slave to know one." He said looking at the ground.


"Yeah I know what you mean. I have been a slave my whole life I don't know what its like not to be one." Marina looked over to alec. "Is something wrong?"


"Well, I don't and I'm not soon to find out either." Alec said still looking to the ground. "There is nothing wrong." He said.


"Then why are you looking at the ground?" She said turning towards him.


Alec looked up from the ground. "Ya know what, I don't really know." He said luaghing a little.


She smiled and linked arms with him while walking. "Well I guess we do things with out thinking." She giggled.


"Haha, I guess so. I do it all the time." He said luaghing.


She giggled and smiled looking at the road ahead of her.


Alec kept walking alooking at the little markets that where around them, and the different people.


Marina kept smiling as she was walking.


Alec looked at Marina. "Whatcha smiling about?" He asked her.


"I dunno. I guess I'm just happy." she looked at him and smiled. "Are you happy to get out?"


"Oh, haha, I'm a little happy, yet nerves." He said looking forward.


"Theres nothing to be nervous about. It will all ge fine once were out."


"And how are you so sure on that, Marina?" Alec asked her.


"Just an instinct. I don't know it's just I like to look on the brighter side of things." She said looking over to him.


"Hmm lucky you, I'm not to fond of the bright side of things, but some times I do. It depends on the things I have to look on the bright side of." Alec Said looking at her.


She smiled. "ok well for me just look on the bright side of this situation. Pease?" She asked looking at him sweetly.


"Sure, i'll try, I can't make any promises though." He said with a luagh.


"Just as long as you try." She said with a giggle. She looked at the ground and chose her next words carefully. "Alec have you ever been in love?" She asked unexpectadly.


Alec looked at Marina. "Yes I have once. Why?" He asked her.


She looked away from him. "I just wanted to know what if felt like to love. I've never been loved. I was was only around hate."


"Oh, well I can tell you one thing, it's and emotion, and you can't explain those, trust me I've tried." Alec said looking at the ground.

"Yeah I know what you mean. I haven't been explained many things because noone knew how to describe them." She hung her head and it her lip.

Xania walked a ways in front of them, trying to ignore their conversation. She soon reached the wall. Looking around, she noticed the large wooden gates weren't too far away, with two rather scary looking guards standing watch. Looking back, she speaks to the two behind her. "You two are going to have to find a way over. I've already had mine planned out for months." Looking towards the hole that had been cut through the stone to the otherside, she speaks again. "Good luck to you." After that, she changes to her viper form and slithers through the hole.

Mordan watched the three from his guard post by the gate, studying them....he could tell that they were attempting to leave. He then saw one of the girls change into a viper and slither into the wall...A bit surprised, Mordan rushed to the other side, where he found a small hole, and waited for what soon to come out.

Xania had figured something like this would happen, and she was prepared. With a burst of speed, she shoots out the hole and under his legs. Once on the other side of him, she transforms into her half form with scales covering her arms like armor. She bares her fangs at him with a hiss.

Alec stoped talking, and looked at Marina. "Well I guess we should start going." Then Alec started to transform into a Werewolf. Hi eyes turned yellow, his fingers turn into claws and his teeth got sharp. After a few minutes her was turned into a full Werewolf. (Which looked like a huge Wolf).

Marina bit her lip as she watched him transform. "Um..I can't change into anything." She said watching him with glazed eyes. She bit her lip and her wings erupted from her back. A dark violet color with an arm span of six feet. "Oh my god!" she said looking over her shoulder.

Alec gave her that. "Can't you fly over it look." He looked over at the wall then her wings.

"I don't know. I've never flown before. this is the first time I've even seen my wings." As she was talking her feet were dangling a foot off the ground. Alec was smiling. "What are you smiling about?"

"Oh nothing, your just flying now." Alec said. "But I can't talk much more becuse some one might hear me. I'm a Werewolf rember."

She nodded and leap into the air. "I'll meet you on the other side." She said flying off and flaping her wings ferociously. She moved quickly over the wall and towards the forest.

Alec nodded, and started to run towards the door, he got to guards, and started to bark and growel at them, and bit both of them taking some flesh with him. His yellows narrowed, and chased the guards away. He started to dig a hole, and a few minutes later he was on the other side.

Marina landed on the ground and her wings wrapped around her shivering body. They had a soft down and they were warm against her skin. She sat on a rouck at the beginning of the forest and waited for Alec to get to her.

Alec reached the other side along with Xania and Marina. He shook off the dirt that was on his fur, and walked towards them.

Marina saw him coming towards her and jumped up. She ran over to him with her wings flapping behind her. "Yes! You made it over." She said throwing her arms around him giving him a tight hug.

Alec's taile waged. He tried to get the blood from his mouth off, but it was hard with paws.

She smiled and moved away from him. She noticed the blood on his lips. "Whats with the blood? oh and could you turn back to a vampire cause your kinda scary." She giggled a little.

He backed away a little, and turned back into a Vampire, and used his hands to wipe away the blood. "Oh, it's just a little snack thats all." He said smiling.

Marina nodded and pulled away from him backing up and looking at the stars. "Beautiful..." Shes whispered.

Alec looked at her. "There little things that glow." He said still looking at her.

"Yeah I know but still they're beautiful." She smiled and then looked down at him.

"Hmm...whatever you say." Alec said looking at them.

She looked at him then just shook her head.

"Hmm...oh well." Alec said stop looking at the stars.

"so where are we headed to?" She asked looking at him.

"Yeah..umm..that I do not know." He said looking at Marina.

"Well maybe Xania will know." she said looking towrds Xania.

"Well I would think so." Alec said

Mordan stared down at the strange vampire. Suddenly she charged at him and bit him in the shoulder. Trying his best to ignore the pain, he pulled her out and threw her to the ground. Before he could attack, he heard the other guards scream in pain."We dont have to do this...as long as you do what i say."

She gets up quickly, glaring at him. "I don't do what anyone says, alright? I'm alone in this world, and I do what's in my best interests." She states in an emotionless voice. "It's a pity that you do everything some higher up tells you to do," she says again, this time adding a bit of sympathy. Shaking her head, she turns around and starts to walk towards her two so called 'companions.'


Mordan started getting angry...he threw his mace into her legs, knocking her down..He then ran over to her and picked her up from the chest and held her in the air,"Care to hear what i want you to do, before you say no, i would hate to have to ruin such a pretty face"He said, tighting his grip

"No!" Marina screamed. "Let her go. Please.." Marina screamed again. She walked over to the man holding Xania. she pryed her away from him and stood in fron of the gaurd.


Mordan lifted his mace and began to walk towards her,his aura increasing steadily..."do not interfere,this does not concern you, now get back into the city, or you will share the same fate as your friend will"He then lifted his mace over his head and began to swing down

Marina flinched slightly and put her hands above her. Her body gegan to shake with fear. "Please just let us through. We have done nothing wrong. and if you don't let me through then just let them through. Cause I know that they are better then this place." She looked into the guards eyes.


Suddenly Mordan felt a feeling he never felt before, he felt that he could not make himself hurt her.He loosened his grip on his mace and looked away from her, looking at the other two, glancing back and forth." Alright, you can go on...but only if you let me join you"

Marina smiled and her fear went away. "Um I can't make that decition. only Xania can make it. I don't have any option." She looked at Xania. "Xania what do you think?"

Alec just stood there watching, everyone and decided to walk over there calmly. "Well see it is really up to Xania to where we go, just like Marina said." he said looking at the guard."Oh and you guys, don't taste that bad." He said grinning.

With a glare to Mordan, Xania stands up. She then brushes the dirt off of her black clothes. "Whatever. I don't feel like fighting right now. I just want to get out of this wretched village," she states, turning around and beginning to walk. "Do what you want, but I'm going either way."

"Yes, I am with Xania" Alec said looking at Mordan, and shook his head. He turned to Xania and started walking towads her.

Mordan followed a distance away from the two, Marina beside him." somehow i think they dont like me" He saiod to her.

"Not that I don't like you, merely that there is a lack of trust. And trust is hard to find these days," she states, continuing to walk.

Marina smiled at Mordan. "don't worry I trust you. I'm very thankful to you that you let us through." she said looking over at him.

"Well thank you very much, mam" Mordan said to her, smiling a bit." Truth is, i have been aching to get away from this kingdom for some time now....i just didnt want to go alone....i should thank you all for coming along".

Marina laughed. "You have the same adtitude as us. We all wanted to get out of there. and we wanted to get out of there fast. I of course had to go over the wall while everyone went under it. I had to fly over it. Which was not fun." She said giggling and smiling.


Really?" Mordan said, a bit surprised."Thats good to hear. Im very happy that i have your trust. And wherever we're headed, im sure i will earn the trust of the other two as well."

"Yeah I know what you mean. I don't think that Xania trust me yet either. But I know that Alec does. He is very sweet once you get to know him. I think he'll like you." she looked at him and smiled warmly and brightly. "Xania is one person that takes a while to trust someone."

"Dont worry, Ive met people like her before.They all have a sensitive side, but you have to search for it. Alec on the other hand....Just becaude you cant see it, doesnt mean he didnt bite my leg

"He only did that to get past you. Cause I saw it it looked like they were going to kill him." She looked into Mordan's eyes

she bit her lip and looked away. "Are you on your guard with me?" she asked in a low tone.

Mordan didnt want to answer the question. He had grown to really like Marina, but he didnt know what she thought of him." Uhh, we should try to catch up to the others." He said, as he started to walk faster.

Marina laged behind the others. she could feel a tear creap down her cheek. he doesn't trust me. she thought to herself.

Alec was walking near Xania, when he heard the two talk behind him.

Marina kept her head hung as she wiped away the lonely tear on her cheek.

Mordan didnt know what was happening to him, hes made men and women of all ages cry before. But the sight of this girls tears crushed him."Here, hop on my shoulder," He said kneeling down," Ill give you a lift.

Marina smiled. "Are you serious?" She asked moving towards him.

It is the least i can do for you"Mordan said calmly, looking into Marinas eyes.

she bit her lip and nodded. "Sure" she said quietly. she got onto this shoulders waiting for what was next.

Alec grabed his own arm, and looked to see what was going on. He shook his head luaghing to himself, he kept walking.

She glances back towards them, then speaks. "We'll be heading through this forest. About a mile more, and we'll set up camp."

"Alright" Alec said to her.


With Marina on his shoulders, Mordan stood up abrubtly." You heard the lady." Said Mordan as he began to follow the other two. "Let me know if you want to get down, Its kind of a long way down." Mordan said with a chuckle.

Marina giggled. "Just let me know if I'm squishing you. I can be pretty heavy." she smiled holding onto his hands.

Mordan laughed." I dont think youve taken a very good look at me" He said, ushering at the size of him."I may not be all as weak as i appear

She smiled and looked up at the sky. she held on tight to Mordan somthing inside her afraid to fall.

Alec kept looking back at the two. He looked at the moon, it was almost full. Maybe in a few days it will be. He said to himself.

Marina lifted her arms over her head and shouted towards the
sky. "God I love being this high up!" she said happily.
