Cole was in all my classes and he sat next to Kyle or me in each class. I thought I was going to die cause of the daggers I was getting off the other girls in the class and the fact that Cole sat so close to me. I wasn't even focusing on my work and I got alot of questions wrong when Jenny, one of the teachers, asked me a question. I just felt I was dieing of embarrassment. I was glad to be on the bus, away from everyone. I just needed to be on my own for a little bit. I popped in my headphones for my blue ipod. I turned on my playlist that I use when I feel down in the dumps. I smiled a little when I heard the sound of Sun Goes Down by David Jordan. I leaned back on the seat of the bus and looked out the window as I waited for the bus driver to hurry up and get the hell out of here cause I just wanted to go back home and chill out with a cup of herbal tea. I looked in my black leather bag and picked up my book, Kiss of death, by Rachel Craine. I love her books so much! I had just got to the part where Eve, Claire, Shane, Michael and Oliver all got into Eve's car cause they where going on a road trip out of Morganville, when someone sat next to me.
I blinked and turned my head to face a guy with sunshine for hair. The guy was Cole. He was just looking at me with his blue and gold eyes. He said something but I frowned.
"What?!" I said way to loudly because I forgot that I had my headphones in. Cole took out one of my headphones.
"I said is it okay for me to sit here?" His voice was so kind and husky at the same time.
I blinked at him."Ummm...su
re it's okay." I said softly. Then I looked back down at my book, trying to read the words in front of me but sadly I just was way to aware of Cole sitting next to me. Why is he sitting next to me? There are a ton of other seats on the bus that he could choise to sit in. And where was is sister? I heard from Emma at lunch that she saw both Cole and Cornelia getting out a car and she also saw Cornelia lock it. Maybe he and his sister had a little fight? Or maybe she had to be somewhere that Cole was not aloud to go?
Good goddess I'm getting all worked up about some guy and why he was on a bus sitting next to me! Whats wrong with me? I mean seroiusly. I'm a young indapetant woman. I don't need to be sitting here obesessing over some guy who is like really hot. I put my headphone, that Cole took out, and popped it back in. I switched playlist to the one I use to block out all noice around me. I sighed softly when I heard the beautiful sound of Playing With Fire, by Mr Hudson and N-Dubz.
My ipod died just as the bus got into Kelso. I sighed and took my headphones off and put them and my ipod in my black leather bag. I folded the page of my book and popped it into my bag as well. I saw that it was lightly snowing and I pulled my hood up and pulled on my gloves. I was still aware of Cole sitting next to me and I was even more aware of him when he stood up and moved to the side to let me out when the bus stopped outside the bank. I stood up as I picked up my bag.
"Thanks." I said over the chatter of the other students waiting to get off the bus. Once I was outside I shivered at the cold wind blowing the snow in my face. I felt someone tap my shoudler and I turned around to see Cole.
"Sorry but could you tell me where 55 Inch road?" He asked me with a small smile. I liked his smile. I wanted to see him see more offen. He had a angel like smile which was melting my heart kinda of. It finally clicked in my head what he said. He lives just next to me, one the same street. How did I not know that? Good goddess I'm getting very slow.
"I know where that is. I just live up the road from 55. I'll show you the way, if you want."
"Thank you, that would be nice of you to do, Rose." I loved the way he said my name. I thought I was going to melt right there in the snowy streets.
"Okay then. Lets go." I smiled a little and walked with Cole across the slippy cobbled road. I walked slowly cause I so didn't wanted to slip and fall on my ass. That would just be shameful. We walked in silence until we passed the chruch and that is where Cole spoke softly.
"This town is very...special in it's own right." He didn't look at me as he spoke but he was looking at the chruch. There was something in his voice that made me think that there was something more he wanted to say but couldn't for some reason.
I shrugged a little."I guess it is but it's a little too quite for my liking."
Cole looked at me with his eyebrows raised."I don't believe that. Kelso maybe quite but at least it's save..."He looked like he wanted to say more but couldn't.
"I sence a but coming." I said as we pasted the swimming pool.
"But nothing, Rose." he muttered softly but I knew he wasn;t telling me everything and that juut fladed up my curiosity. Yes, I'm one of those girls that won't stop until she finds out the truth. I'm like a Scottish Nancy Drew but who dosen't solve crime, just finds out the truth.
"Riiiiiiight." I said as we walked past Edenside Primary School and we crossed the road and I saw my grandparents house. I smiled a little when I saw it.
