[Sigyn, The Faithful Wife],PS3 version Review: I love this game, it has to be one of my favorite games. It has a lot to do, as well as working towards the main story. There are side jobs and tasks that you can complete that make the game more interesting. It's also one of the only games that I currently play that allow you to basically choose if you're going to have a good reputation, or if you're going to turn into an outlaw. The graphics are great, though sometimes the things people say don't match the situation (like it was better said later in the game). All in all it's a fun game that satisfies my desire of being a cowboy. Love the game, would suggest it for any one. I've never played online, but my dad thinks it's awesome game play.

Well let me start by saying that the game isn't perfect, it has a few glitches (which can, at times, be somewhat amusing), a few frustrating moments, and a slightly shallow story until the last few missions (Don't worry, I won't spoil them for you).
The game starts out with your family being kidnapped by federal lawmen, that will only return them once you have killed your infamous gang buddies.
The first few minutes are perfect for an introduction. The game runs very smoothly most of the time, and shows great detail in all actions and in the envirnment around you.
Speaking of the envirnment, RDR has one of the most immersive real time virtual worlds, with so many activities and side missions, you will seldomly be bored. The game also has a very fun hunting aspect. New Austin, Nuevo Paraiso, and New Elizabeth (the main regions of the game) are full of little and big critters to practice your shot, and then skin for valuable items.
The law enforcment in RDR is very persistent, that is why- when you commit a crime- you then receive a bounty on your head, this bounty rises with each crime until you surrender, or you are killed.
So in conclusion:
BAD
-Glitches
-Occasional rendering errors
-Somewhat shallow story
GOOD
-Everything else!

Simply put i found this game incredibly boring. I know not many people will not agree with me here - and that's fine - however I'm basing it on the following points:
- Endless boring riding from one place to another
- Difficult quick travel system having to set up camp
- Plenty of cutscenes that are too long
- Not enough action
- And plenty of boring side games like poker etc
I just didnt find the game very engaging at all. Try to balance on a bucking horse not fun. Throwing horseshoes not fun. Endless empty desert not fun. Horse racing not fun.
In summary i feel just because it has done something unique in taking on the wild west, doesnt mean that if you transported that into a different setting it would be fun. You'll like it if you like living out cowboy fantasies, but in terms of engaging gameplay for me it fell awfully abysmally short.... and i sold the game soon after. There are so many better games out there: Fallout 3, Gears of War, mass effect.. all with more compelling stories and better gameplay than this.
