Mink Car is the eight studio album by They Might Be Giants. It was released on September 11, 2001 by Restless Records (who by then went from indie label to a subsidiary of Rykodisk (who in turn became a subsidiary of Warner Music Group in 2006).
Many songs on the album were previously released in either demo or final form via the defunt TMBG Unlimited mp3 service. Others were available on
Long Tall Weekend. Depending on country of release, the album's track list varied, with exclusive bonus tracks for different regions.
"Man, It's So Loud In Here" was the only promo single, but didn't see a wide release and didn't chart. The album itself only spent a week on the Billboard 200, getting only to #134.
