While Isa was dealing with the rice, he found and sliced up some chicken and put it in a frying pan for her to watch along with the rice, then cleaned up quick and got some vegetables to chop

Malik finished with the vegetables and put them in with the chicken, "You haven't gotten to eat much actual food since you ran off have you...? I don't mean to sound rude, but I've never seen someone so happy over a bag of rice before..."

She shrugged, not really wanting to talk about it. Knowing she was close to home, she was afraid that by talking about it she'd be somehow tempted to visit.

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Not with words, silly. A dance needs to be shown, not explained, if someone wants to know what it looks like." She smiled, waiting for him to show her.

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Oh. Well, I don't know how to do it, but if it helps you, I'll volunteer." It's not like there was anyone else around, anyway.

"My, my," She referred to the robe stripping and stood up, taking his hand. "I take it this is going to take a while."

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Tch, of course not." She willed herself not to get timid. "Does it start out this close?"

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: Malik nodded, "Do you have any dance experience?"

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "I do... but traditionally partner dances are... at a greater distance between the partners." She looked down, then up again. "But don't worry about me, I'll be fine. Ready when you are."

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: He shrugged, then started with the more basic steps so she'd only have to follow to learn them

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: Following along, her feet soon found the flow in the pattern. "This one's actually fun."

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Well, then show me." Smiling, she remembered how long it's been since she danced with another person.

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: "Fine" Malik broke off for the previous rhythm into some of the more complicated and...intimate steps of the dance

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: For once his warmth was distracting, and she fumbled more often over the new steps. "I'm sorry, I feel so clumsy."

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: He smiled a little, "Actually you're doing fairly well"

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Thanks..." A hazy blush hid just below the surface. "Is there another part to the dance?"

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: "Yeah, there is," Malik smirked again and dipped her backwards so her body was pressed against his own

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Ah!" A short, alarmed cry escaped her. The dip surprised her, as well as the enchantment of the heat of his body on hers, and her blush rose to the surface.

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: He chuckled, "Relax, it's not like I'd let you fall"

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "That's... not what concerned me..." She bit her lip.

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "A little... That's a very... disruptive dance." She meant that it was disruptive to her composure, as she glanced down seeing there was hardly a space between them. 'Guess our village is pretty conservative...' she thought.

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: He tilted his head a little, "You don't like it then?"

2009-06-21 [Lady Kari]: "Well, that's not what I said. I meant that it's very..." When she looked up into his eyes, she couldn't bring herself to say the word 'sexy'. "Well anyway, I liked it." She smiled genuinely.

2009-06-21 [DragonicTunes]: Malik smiled back a bit, "That's good, do you want to keep going?"

2009-06-22 [Lady Kari]: ((I took out the fandango, by the way. I figured it was probably a little much.))

"I wouldn't mind..." She looked down at her feet, trying to memorize the steps she already learned.

2009-06-22 [DragonicTunes]: He wrinkled his nose slightly, "Just great, now I'm gonna have to get a trapper..."

2009-06-22 [Lady Kari]: "It glared at me... with these red, beady eyes..." She frowned, distrustful of crevices and any part of the floor that wasn't in her line of vision. "I hate rats."

2009-06-22 [DragonicTunes]: "I'm not particularly fond of them either..."

2009-06-22 [Lady Kari]: "I'm sorry..." Wishing the mood hadn't turned to disgust for icky rodents, she tried to steer the subject again. "Was there anything else you wanted to show me? By the way, I doubt you read all that in a book," she teased, smiling.

2009-06-22 [DragonicTunes]: Malik glanced away from her a little, biting the inside of his cheek, "I learned with someone I knew awhile back..."

2009-06-22 [Lady Kari]: "Oh... I see..." Considering the romantic nature of the dance, she assumed that it might have been learned with an intimate partner, and that was a whole other ball park than what she was comfortable talking about. Not only did they not know each other, but information like that she considered very private. "So what other skills were you saying you picked up?"

2009-06-22 [Lady Kari]: As she looked up at him steadily, her smile straightened and faded. "Do you care to show me something?" Reaching in among her robe, she pulled out a small flute-like instrument. "The flute happens to be my favorite as well."
