Upon Amithi's return, Isa smiled gratefully. "Thank you, Amithi." She looked from Kimi and Akio to Gemini and Almas. "Are we ready?"

"I am ready when you are. Keva!" He laughed, "Keva, come on, we're heading out."

Kevatchka looked up suddenly from his playing and dashed excitedly up to and around Almas's legs.

Almas smiled and replied,
"The next village over. You'll get to travel with Vixen, Keva!" He said, with a playfully ribbing air. He heard nothing but a stream of flustered thoughts from Keva in response.

Staring at Almas, Isa commented, "I always thought it was weird to not be able to hear animals. It's like I'm missing half of what's going on around me." From the corner of her eye, she could see the squirrel glaring at her in a nearby tree who had verbally harassed her earlier. "On second thought... Maybe it's not so bad..." Her hand withdrew to the nut sack as she glared back.
She turned to Amithi, "Lead the way! I think we're ready."

2009-05-27 [GlassCasket]: Cliff slowed to a jog as he reached the town that the group was heading to. He knew it was stupid of him to have let that one person get to him but he would not let them do it again. He was a forgiving person and he knew the only way to survive would be to get in on their good terms.
Flash had recovered from his incident and was on Cliff's shoulder once again.

2009-05-27 [Sigyn, The Faithful Wife]: Amithi nodded again and led the group to the village. Kalkin went ahead of them a little, on the look out for any trouble.

2009-05-27 [GlassCasket]: Cliff stopped jogging and looked over to the main entrance. Seeing Ari he set Flash down so he could stretch and begin walking again. Cliff slowly began to walk towards Ari. He sopped in mid-step and took off in the opposite direction picking up Flash on the way.

Much to his puzzlement, he felt something there that he had not recalled feeling there before. It was rectangular, and crinkled placidly. It sounded like parchment.
'What the hell...?' he thought quizzically.

2009-05-28 [Eccentrifuge]: Almas did't immediatly reply, too confused by the mysterious item. He reached his hand into his robe and fished around for a moment, then emerged with a faded, yellowed parchment, folded up. He detected a vaguely familiar scent on it. He focused on it and realized suddenly what the scent was.
It was Ari's scent.
Almas's cheeks tinged a touch of pink when he realized what it was. He unfolded and read the first line aloud to Gemini.
"My Dearest sister Ari," he said. Almas looked at Gemini.
"It's a letter..."

2009-05-28 [Sonya Blue]: She shrieked and nearly tackled him to take the letter "I'LL KILL HER!"

2009-05-28 [Eccentrifuge]: Almas's eyes widened and he deftly dodged her, nearly avoiding being tackled. He smiled, nay, smirked almost wickedly and chuckled in good spirits.
"Oh, you want this?" He taunted, "But I haven't read it yet!"
Almas laughed. He hadn't planned to read it originally, but Gemini's reaction changed his mind.

He had just begun to read the first line of the letter when Gemini made a sudden contact with him, tackling him to the ground. Thinking fast, he rolled over and tucked the paper back into his robe.

"I can wait here all day, Gemini!" He explained. Suddenly he sat up, grabbed her wrists with a light, yet unbreakable grip and, not allowing time for Gemini to react in defense, he rolled over. In a flash, the tables had turned, and now Gemini was the pinned captive of Almas, instead of the other way around.
"However, I'd really rather not."

2009-05-28 [Lady Kari]: Watching Gemini and Almas wrestle for control over their secrets (which weren't all that secret anymore ;-)), Isa laughed. It felt good to laugh, but the best part was the blushing on their faces.

Almas was quickly dodging and leaping away from the vines, but they just kept coming, almost snaring him.
"Aak! Alright, alright, just don't kill me over that letter!" He called out as one snared his leg.

2009-05-28 [Sonya Blue]: The vines stopped chasing him, and Gemini held her hand out laughing slightly  ---  Vixen shook her head ~Only around him I think..~

Pouting, Almas pulled the letter out from his robe.
"Do I have to give it up?"

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: Eying Daichi, Isa began to suspect his coolness. Maybe she was just unnaturally uneasy about the wolves. Or maybe Daichi... was their henchman! Gasp! Consequently, she glared.

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: Distracted, she shook her head and looked up at Akio. "Uhh... Yeah, just a second ago. You said something about you being good at being an ass or something." Cautiously, she followed after Daichi, studying him.

2009-06-03 [DragonicTunes]: He stared at her for a moment, a little flabbergasted, "You don't know how to be subtle do you? I've never known a woman to tell me that so blatantly..." Meanwhile Daichi ignored her, somewhat used to drawing attention.

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: "Oh, um..." She pondered her words carefully. It was a hard task for someone so socially... challenged. "Well, sorry." She turned back to Daichi, then hesitated and turned back to Akio. "It's not you. I'm just... focused on something else right now..."

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: "I had this dream -" She broke off, her eyes wandering and preoccupied by the shifting shadows.

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: Frowning in thought, she refocused, "... and there was a wolf... standing over me. She was snarling, but not at me... It seemed like she was protecting me..."
Glancing at the underbrush, she continued, "Regardless, though, seeing a wolf makes me nervous... Actually, I knew I had to leave home once I woke up..." The corners of her mouth sunk a little.

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: Glancing at Akio, "I had to leave... Otherwise, well... My village sat beneath the Empire's domain. It would be suicide not to obey them. Their demands are that we kill any humans with their animal guides if they were not loyal to the Empire. Also, any of us that were chosen by an animal must fight for the Empire. After I had that dream, I was afraid that I'd be chosen, so I had to leave. I couldn't fight for them..." After her monologue, she looked after Daichi again.

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: Her ear twitched as she followed the canine in front of her. "I'm sorry..."

2009-06-03 [DragonicTunes]: "Nah, don't be," He smiled, "I'm glad how things have turned out, if it weren't for this I'd just be some farm boy without a future to look forward to besides marrying some girl I didn't like, having 8 kids, and working until my hands decided to leave me"

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: "If you abused your wife like that by having eight kids, your hands wouldn't be the first things to leave you." She wasn't looking forward to carrying on family trade, either.

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: "Perhaps..." A streak of light flashed into her eyes, and she involuntarily rose a hand to shield them from the sunlight through the trees. It was then that she realized that the sun was setting. "How long do you think it will take to get to the next town?"

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: "I hope so... The sun's starting to set already." Slinking in the sky lazily, the sun winked through the trees as they continued on the dusty road.

2009-06-03 [DragonicTunes]: Akio sighed, "I see lights, so we can't be that far off"

2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: With rooftops in sight, Isa sighed in relief. "It looks like it won't be much longer." She wanted nothing more than to be away from the prowling canines.
Sidling out of the bushes, a young wolf (about a yearling) slipped behind her silently. As she felt its approach, she turned around. Suddenly, a wild surge of energy flooded her and a voice that said, I've found you!
Then a gust blew her cloak and blouse over her head, exposing her and her various weapons and satchels. Dancing around, she struggled to get her cloak right-side-down from her head, "Agh!" Soon she managed to re-enclose her body and burdens. Enveloped in flames, she gaped in shock that she was not burning. "W-Wha..."
The little black and brown wolf's tail swayed rapidly. I've been looking for you for so long! Finally I've found my human!
The flames died, and Isa stuttered, "Whoa, whoa... What are you talking about? Wait... Why are you talking??"
Her lips pulling back into a lupine grin with her tongue lolling out, the wolf replied, You can heard me because I'm your guide.
Suddenly she recognized the wolf from her dream, but somehow it looked smaller now. "Wait... You're telling me..."
That you and I are destined to be side by side and share a bond like no other.
"...." Isa thought a moment. "What's your name, then?"
Whatever you would like to call me.
"That doesn't sound fair."
It's quite fair, considering I've never had a human name before. In the animal world, we identify each other by smells and sounds.
"Umm... okay..." Glancing around, Isa noticed the other wolves had disappeared. Or had there been any others? "Well... How about... Haru."
Pawing at Isa playfully, Haru wagged her tail. I love it.
Smiling, Isa crouched down and rubbed her ears.

He said quietly adding, "This area gets quite dangerous after the sun sets...Not that anything bothers me of course im just concerned for your well-being." 2009-06-03 [Lady Kari]: At the mention of food, Isa turned her head attentively. "Food...? Well, I have some nuts... and some sprouts... and some questionable mushrooms." Pulling out a purple mushroom with red splotches, she studied it. "... It looks legit..."

Haru sniffed everything from a dingy flower to a brick to Daichi to a germy puddle of water, and back to Daichi. This is exciting... Everything smells so different in a town.
