Factory Showroom is the 6th full-length album by They Might Be Giants. It was released on October 8, 1996, and was their last on Elektra Records.
This album retained Graham Maby on bass and Brian Doherty on drums; Eric Schermerhorn was featured as lead guitarist, but left the touring band as he did not feel it represented his true sound.
Like John Henry before it, a tape of leaked demos for Factory Showroom was bootlegged, to the chagrin of the Johns. It contained demos of "Older" and "On the Drag" that are unavailable anywhere else, and featured 22 tracks (9 more than what made the final cut - some of these were re-recorded for later projects).
Factory Showroom only spent two weeks on the Billboard 200, peaking at #89. The album's only single, "S-E-X-X-Y", did not chart.
