Fallout New Vegas: A lot of people have said bad things about this game and they had some legitimacy in the first couple of months. But recent patches and fixes have made it nearly impossible to complain about this amazing open-world RPG. I have always been a big fan of the Fallout series and essentially anything else by Bethesda. The idea of having reputations with factions and NPCs who are more human than robot is absolutely amazing. The scenery of post-apocalypt
ic Las Vegas AND the expansive desert surrounding it are absolutely stunning. The creatures are astounding and their abilities are equally brutal. It also has an amazing combat system and an even more amazing relationship-building system. You can form bonds with NPCs or you can make them hate you. The expansions are also very nice. The story takes you from the grave to being the leading cause of the shift in power. Essentially there are three groups fighting for control of new vegas. Mr. House and his nearly endless robotic army. The NCR which is an old world democracy from California and Ceaser's Legion which is built after the roman empire. Mr. House fights for the betterment and elongation of human life with himself at the forefront of research. He was born before the war and he saved Vegas when the bombs fell. Ceaser is a tyrannical leader but is also an effective one. Building his empire around the example of the romans, his soldiers are trained to fight to the death and undergo extreme training before entering battle, most do not make it out alive. The NCR is based around Old World America, before the war. They have well-trained fighters though they concentrate more on firepower and guns than Melee and hand to hand combat. All in all fallout new vegas is a stunning portrayal of true human nature and brings insights and light to human nature.
Call of Duty: Black Ops
As far as Call of Duty games go this one isn't as well put together. However it still has many redeeming qualities. There are many more attatchments for weapons and the deathmatches are a little more fair. Although it isn't point-based for victory, it is good for those skilled enough to get kills but for those who can't they can still become top of the leader boards with assists and captures and other things.
Others to come >.<
