The format that saves animated pictures or "frame by frame" pictures I should say.
gif is the format it's saved in, hence why we call them gifs.
Kinda like how JPEG is the common photo saving format, though I don't recommend it because it's low quality and breaks down pictures, I'm more of a png. and TIFF. kinda person.
